TRUMP\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Enterprise, AL–Congressional candidate Barry Moore called Tuesday\u2019s signing of peace deals between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain \u201ca truly historic moment\u201d. President Trump hosted the event at the White House, where Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signed accords with Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan and Bahrain\u2019s Foreign Minister, Abdullatif al Zayani.<\/span><\/p>\n Prior to today\u2019s events, only two Arab nations had signed peace agreements with Israel: Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994.<\/span><\/p>\n Moore said in a statement:<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cToday\u2019s a truly historic moment. The number of Arab nations that have normal relations with Israel has just doubled, and it\u2019s all because of the leadership of President Donald J. Trump.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cBahrain and the UAE now join Egypt and Jordan in having deals in place for normal relations with Israel. It\u2019s something we take for granted in other parts of the world, but in the Middle East it\u2019s nothing short of remarkable.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe President\u2019s team worked hard on this for years, and I think we\u2019ll see more Arab states come around in the President\u2019s second term. As far as I\u2019m concerned, this is just one more reason to re-elect the President. Joe Biden and Barack Obama had eight years of meaningless lines in the sand and empty words that did nothing to further the peace process. Donald Trump has given us today\u2019s real agreements in less than four.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cJust look at what this President has done for the region. He moved our embassy to Jerusalem. He\u2019s seen ISIS and the Islamic Caliphate destroyed. He\u2019s gone after bad actors in the region, and that\u2019s made these peace deals possible, I believe. If I were on the Nobel Peace Prize committee, today\u2019s signing would get President Trump my vote for the Prize.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Trump has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize for brokering the Israel\/UAE peace deal that was announced in late August.<\/span><\/p>\n Barry Moore is the Republican nominee in the AL-2 congressional election, to be held as part of the general election on November 3rd.
