BARRY MOORE RESPONDS TO IRANIAN STRIKE,
“I’M GLAD WE HAVE A COMMANDER IN CHIEF WHO STANDS UP FOR AMERICANS”
Enterprise, AL–Barry Moore, a candidate in the AL-2 Congressional race, responded to President Trump’s ordering the military strike that killed Iranian General Qassim Soleimani and other military officials at Baghdad International Airport. Soleimani, the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ elite Quds Force, was confirmed killed in the attack, which occurred early Friday morning Baghdad time.
Barry Moore said in a statement:
“I come from a long line of veterans. I served, my Dad served and my Grandfather served and fought in Korea. In military training, we were taught to act quickly and efficiently to take out the enemy. It’s nice to have a commander-in-chief with the same military mindset of quick and decisive action.”
“My daughter is getting married next week. Her husband will deploy to Iraq in April. I’m glad President Trump and our military leaders acted swiftly and decisively. We are cutting the head off the snake and showing the enemies of peace that we will respond with quick and deadly force. The attack on our embassy and the emergency deployment of troops to Iraq hits close to home. This family will have boots on the ground there soon. I’m glad we have the full support of a commander-in-chief who stands up for Americans and lets our warriors fight to win. God bless our troops.”
“Soleimani is our leader” was spray-painted on windows by Iran-backed militiamen at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad following Tuesday’s attack on the Embassy. Seventeen percent of all deaths of U.S. personnel in Iraq from 2003 to 2011 were orchestrated by Soleimani, according to reports by the U.S. State Department.
Barry Moore will be on the ballot in the Republican primary on March 3rd. He is seeking to replace the retiring Martha Roby. He previously served in the Alabama Legislature, where he was named the “most dependable conservative vote” by Yellowhammer News. He and his wife Heather have four children: Jeremy, Kathleen, Claudia and Jeb, and two dogs, Rocket and Dolly.
