FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BARRY MOORE CONFIDENT SENATE WILL FULLY EXONERATE PRESIDENT TRUMP,
“ABOUT TIME” HOUSE SENDS ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT TO UPPER CHAMBER
Enterprise, AL–Congressional candidate Barry Moore expressed his full confidence that President Donald Trump will be exonerated by the Senate in his impeachment trial.
Moore’s comments came in response to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) naming 7 House members who will serve as Managers in the Senate trial against the President. The 7 are Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA), Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY), and Reps. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Val Demings (D-FL), Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), Jason Crow (D-CO) and Sylvia Garcia (D-TX).
Barry Moore said in a statement:
“The people of Alabama want to get this over with. It’s about time that Nancy Pelosi moved forward with sending the Democrat’s Articles of Impeachment to the Senate. A month of delays has just given us all time to see this is purely an attempt to unseat a duly-elected President.
“I think Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is right when he says that impeachment actually began in July, 2016, before President Trump was elected, when the FBI started spying on four Americans involved with the Trump campaign. First it was Russia, and when that narrative collapsed it turned into Ukraine. These people have been flailing around looking for any excuse to impeach the President.
“Most Americans see through this nonsense. Certainly the people of Alabama do, which is why I’m hearing from all over District 2 that they want this sent to the Senate where it can be put to rest.
“I expect the Senate, unlike the House, to do their Constitutionally-mandated job in a timely fashion. I also expect nothing less than the full exoneration of this President when all’s said and done.
“Nancy Pelosi keeps saying Republicans and President Trump will have a “price to pay” over this impeachment. She’s right that there’ll be a price to pay, but it’s going to be her Democrats that pay the price for this soft coup attempt on our President.”
Rep. Jordan made his statement about the impeachment on Fox and Friends on January 14th.
