BARRY MOORE: “THE HYPOCRISY OF THE LEFT AND THEIR FLIP-FLOPPING ON VIOLENCE IS AS DISGUSTING AS IT IS CALLOUS AND UNCARING”
Enterprise, AL–Barry Moore responded to Joe Biden’s Monday attacks on President Trump and attacks on himself over the weekend by pointing out the hypocrisy and flip-flopping of the Left on violent riots in Kenosha, Portland, and other, mainly Democrat-controlled cities across the country.
Moore said in a statement:
“For too long now, the leaders of the Democratic Party have either said nothing or actively encouraged violence, including riots, arson, and rampant destruction of property. Remember back in 2018 when Nancy Pelosi wondered why there weren’t “uprisings all over the country” over President Trump’s policies? Or back in June, when Kamala Harris said that the protests are “not going to let up, and they should not, and we should not.” Or when Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) said in an MSNBC interview, “There needs to be unrest in the streets.”? How many times have their allies in the media stood in front of burning buildings and called the riots “mostly peaceful”?
“Then Monday, Sleepy Joe Biden finally crawled out of his basement to condemn the riots and destruction. Of course, he mainly attacked President Trump, just like people have been attacking me. Both the President and I are being gaslighted with accusations of inciting violence when it’s actually Joe Biden’s party that’s been laying the wood for these fires, then squirting them with lighter fluid.
“Just like they always do, the Left is blaming those of us on the other side for the problems they’ve caused. They’ve been screaming to “defund the police, we’ll police ourselves”. Then, the minute something happens “let’s call the police”. But, of course, by then it’s too late. Neither President Trump nor I have been inciting violence. It’s been Democrats like Pelosi, Harris, Maxine Waters, and too many others who have been inciting violence, and now that they’ve got it they’ve realized it’s hurting them in the polls.
“That’s the real reason Joe Biden came out of his basement. He and his entire party are crashing and burning in the polls as more and more Americans see just what disasters their policies have caused. Where were the condemnations of violence during the DNC? Why weren’t Democrat Senators attacked by mobs there, like Sen. Rand Paul and his wife were attacked last week? And why are the cities so badly affected by violent, rioting mobs almost all run by ‘progressive’ Democrats?
“The answer is simple: Democratic policies fail. They fail to protect their people. They fail to protect property. They fail to bring true justice because the mob is only interested in destroying, not building that ‘more perfect union’, or coming together as ‘one nation, under God’. As the President said Monday, “the violence is fueled by dangerous rhetoric from far-Left politicians that demonizes our nation and demonizes our police”, and both the rhetoric and violence must end.
“The hypocrisy of the Left, and their flip-flopping on violence which is clearly driven by their sinking poll numbers, is as disgusting as it is callous and uncaring. We Republicans aren’t perfect by any means, but we will always stand for peaceful demonstrations and against violence, destruction, arson, looting, assault and murder by mobs of ‘progressives’, regardless of how much they scream about ‘justice’.”
