BARRY MOORE SUPPORTS FOP’S TRUMP ENDORSEMENT, CONDEMNS MOVEON.ORG’s STATEMENT

Enterprise, AL–Barry Moore told a group of supporters Friday that he was not surprised by the Fraternal Order of Police’s endorsement of President Donald J. Trump or MoveOn.org’s immediate condemnation of the FOP endorsement.

Representing some 355,000 members nationwide, FOP National President Patrick Yoes said in Friday’s endorsement statement that “President Trump has shown time after time that he supports our law enforcement officers and understands the issues our members face every day. The FOP is proud to endorse a candidate who calls for law and order across our nation.”

MoveOn Executive Director Rahna Epting immediately released an opposing statement, saying “The Fraternal Order of Police is a dangerous organization that actively works to perpetuate white supremacy. To get their endorsement, you not only have to oppose any effort to hold bad police officers accountable, but you must also sanction law enforcement’s targeted campaigns of violence against Black Americans.”

Barry Moore said Friday that “I’m not surprised that the FOP, a group that represents our law enforcement officers, has endorsed our President. Donald J. Trump has consistently supported our police against the Democrats and their far-Left allies who are working so hard to destroy our cities and our way of life. I’m also not surprised at MoveOn’s knee-jerk statement ranting about it. Back in February, MoveOn claimed they were going to spend $20 million in this election to oust President Trump, and I don’t doubt it. Their patron, George Soros, spent $33 million just in 2015 to stir unrest in Ferguson and elsewhere, and he’s certainly no friend of the President or his policies.”

“All you have to do is look at the news for the last few weeks and you’ll see how the Democrats have been letting their Democrat-run cities burn, and refusing or pushing back against the President’s offers to help them restore law and order. It’s very telling that it’s only here recently that national Democrats have started condemning the rioters and their rampages. Until their poll numbers started tanking, they were either saying nothing or actively encouraging the rioters and demanding the police be defunded. Now, as the death toll and damages have risen, the American people are seeing just what Democrat policies cause, and they don’t want any of it.,” Moore went on.

Moore concluded by saying, “This President has said he will always back our police, and I believe him. I’m also proud to Back the Blue. I’ve signed the Police Pledge and will be at the Back the Blue event in Dothan on September 12th. I’d encourage everyone who can attend to come next Saturday and show that in Alabama, we support our law enforcement, and don’t listen to Leftist groups like MoveOn.”

Barry Moore is the Republican nominee for the AL-2 congressional seat in the Nov 3rd general election. He is a veteran, small businessman, husband, and father of 4 from Enterprise.
